A lively and warm mid-18th century German floral print
Only a 20" square swatch of the fabric that inspired this print has survived. While the original dye of the foliage has faded considerably from the surviving fragment, we've chosen to restore and recreate this print as it might have looked originally with a clean white background and green leaves accenting the maze of brilliant red flowers. Our recreation is printed on 45" wide cotton as close in texture, hand, and weight as we could match to historical apparel cotton examples we've had access to.
If you are ordering more than five yards, please leave a note with your preferred cuts during checkout. As a handmade block print, this fabric is not made as continuous yardage. Lengths are limited by the size of the printers' tables.

Block Print Cottons
Each yard of fabric is made by hand. There will be slight irregularities that are a natural, desirable, and historically accurate part of the crafting process. Our printer is a multi-generational family business that uses AZO-free and vegetable dyes. They are better for our artisan's health and the environment than the dyes modern commercial printers use, but the dyes may bleed when cared for improperly.
For best results, we strongly recommend using a cold, delicate machine cycle, or hand washing.
